Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Tui’s Nest Nature School, we are committed to providing a valuable learning experience for all participants. We understand that circumstances can change, and we strive to accommodate our families as best as we can. We aim to balance compassion for families with the sustainability of our small programme. Please review our refund policy below:

1. Cancellation by Participants - Withdrawals

• No credits or refunds are issued for non-illness-related absences unless you cancel within our standard cancellation timeframe (see below).

• More than 7 Days Before Start Date: Full refund minus a $30 administrative fee.

• Less than 7 Days Before Start Date: 50% refund will be issued.

• Participants wishing to withdraw from a programme after it has started may do so at any time. However, refunds will not be issued for partial attendance.

• Tui’s Nest Nature School may provide full or partial refunds for programmes or classes in other circumstances on a case by case basis, but these are never guaranteed.

2. Cancellation by Participants - Illness or Injury

   • Single Day Absences: No refunds are offered for single-day absences.

   • Extended Illness: If your child is absent due to illness for three or more consecutive sessions, and you notify us promptly:

     • You may be eligible for a partial credit or refund (up to 50% of the missed days).

     • A medical certificate may be requested.

     • Tui’s Nest Nature School does not typically provide refunds in cases where the child sustains an injury and can no longer attend. Instead, reasonable opportunity will be given to join the remaining number of classes at a later date within 6 months of the programme start date.

   • Refunds are only offered in cases of extended illness or serious circumstances.

   • Credits are not guaranteed and are issued at our discretion.

3. Cancellation by Tui’s Nest Nature School

   • Weather-Related Cancellations: While we have weather monitoring procedures in place, conditions can change in a short time and there may be instances where a session is cancelled. 

     • Nature school sessions will occur rain or shine, unless severe weather is forecasted. In such cases, parents will be notified of cancellations, and refunds or credits will be offered.

     • If rapid and severe weather changes force us to close during a session, refunds or credits will not be offered.

   • Other Reasons: If Tui’s Nest Nature School cancels a programme for any other reason, participants will receive a full refund or credit towards a future programme, based on the participant's preference.

4. How to Request a Credit or Refund

   • Email us at tuisnestns@gmail.com as soon as possible with your child’s name, dates of absence, and reason.

   • We will respond within 5 working days with available options.

   • Refunds will be decided upon and, if applicable, processed within 14 days of cancellation requests and will be issued via the original payment method.
